What an IDEX stand has to do.
IDEX is a government and delegation show, and the stand is a meeting venue first. Hosting is scheduled, briefings are private, and much of the footprint goes to meeting rooms rather than display. We design and build defence exhibition stands for that brief — briefing rooms, delegation hosting, secure storage and venue approvals as one delivery line — and much of that work stays confidential at the client’s request.

What is IDEX 2027?
IDEX — the International Defence Exhibition and Conference — is organised by ADNEC Group in association with the UAE Ministry of Defence and the Tawazun Council, with NAVDEX, its naval and maritime security counterpart, running alongside. Its 2025 edition drew 206,000 visitors to 1,565 exhibitors from 65 countries across 181,000 m². IDEX 2027, the 17th edition, runs 25–29 January at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.

Defence manufacturers and prime contractors, land, air, naval and cyber systems suppliers, security and surveillance firms, government industrial bodies, and national pavilions grouping a country’s defence industry. Most build custom exhibition stands with closed meeting rooms; NAVDEX exhibitors also show vessels on the water.

Official military delegations, defence ministries and procurement agencies, armed forces leadership, integrators and industrial partners, most of them arriving with briefings booked. How much of an IDEX stand should be meeting space?
More than at a commercial show. Delegations arrive on a schedule for private briefings, so meeting rooms, a reception point and secure storage take a large share of the floor, and the open display is kept to what can be discussed in public. Double-deck stands are common for that reason, with the meeting rooms upstairs; the structure goes to ADNEC for approval before fabrication, so start earlier than the ten to twelve weeks a single-deck stand design needs.
Do you build country pavilions at IDEX?
Yes. We design and build country pavilions and national pavilions for ministries, trade agencies and pavilion organisers, and we can do the same at IDEX. Each gives a country one identity, with a space for every exhibiting company, shared meeting space and one contractor from design to handover.
Can you supply hostesses, models and catering at IDEX?
Yes, with or without the stand. We provide hosts and hostesses, models and brand ambassadors, interpreters, bar staff, VIP hospitality and transfers for IDEX, briefed on your product and supervised on site. ADNEC has its own exclusive caterer, so food on the stand is arranged through that route and our team runs the service around it.
How early should we appoint a stand builder for IDEX?
Ten to twelve weeks before the show for a custom build, and earlier if the stand carries a double deck or heavy structure, because those go to the venue for structural approval first. The sequence is brief, concept, 3D sign-off, technical drawings, venue submission, fabrication, then build-up at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. Workshop capacity in Dubai fills before the organiser's technical deadline does, so the deadline that matters is not the one in the exhibitor manual.
