The brief
Give a number of small independent exporters their own sellable space while the pavilion still reads as one country from the length of the aisle.
← Project indexPavilions · Dubai, UAE
A national food pavilion at Gulfood holding a group of Afghan producers — dried fruit, honey, saffron and fresh produce — under one country identity on the show floor.
Challenge
Give a number of small independent exporters their own sellable space while the pavilion still reads as one country from the length of the aisle.
Design response
A raised red fascia carried the country name above the whole footprint, with an illuminated product banner beneath it. Individual companies took identical white display pods with lit counters and their own signage, so no exhibitor was subordinate to another.
Result
Buyers walking the hall read Afghanistan first and individual suppliers second, which is what a country pavilion is for.
