Challenge

The brief

Fabricate and install precision sculptural work inside a completed pavilion, to a curatorial brief, on an Expo site with fixed access windows and no tolerance for a missed date.

02

Design response

The concept

Brass armillary spheres on polished floor plates and suspended aerodynamic forms were produced to fine tolerances and installed under the pavilion's existing structure, coordinated around the building's own trades.

03

Result

The outcome

A country pavilion's centrepiece exhibit delivered as a contractor inside someone else's architecture — the discipline of a fit-out rather than a stand build.
